Androuvîny evolved from Vulgar Latin. The language came to be when the native Asterian, Herastase speaking population adopted the language of romance speaking settlers. As the language is relatively young compared the Herastase and other languages around it, it is not particularly innovative in terms of evolution, and has not adopted many features from the surrounding native Loquillan languages. It is categorised by its unusual evolution of palatal sounds, and unique in its evolution of vulgar latin /a:/ to /ɔ/.

Overview

The Nezo-Romance family is a branch of Earth's Romance family of languages. The languages in this family include: Sanspirite, Leña Aruma, Chidurian and Androuvîny. The languages in this family are descendants of other Romance languages made from the mixing of Romance-speaking Earth Humans with the native populations in the area.

Languages

Sanspirite

Sanspirite is a language mostly similar to Spanish and Portuguese with influence from French. The two main differences seem to be the addition of a neuter gender as well as not having a separate system of conjugation for the Subjunctive Mood, instead keeping the native word 'Az'. The language was originally used as a Lingua Franca between the old Loquillan Kingdoms before being used as the National Language of both Wicca in Nezomere as well as Sante Spirite. This language is part of the Loquille-Romance branch.

Leña Aruma

Leña Aruma is a language mostly similar to Romanian and Latin with influences from Ukrainian and Hungarian since many humans from those areas settled in the ancient The Kingdom of Gold where they mixed with the native populations, and still settle today. While the language still has a separate system for subjunctive conjugation, the tenses are simpler with only Past, Present and Future, using 'Az' to show the Imperfect Aspect. This language is part of the Loquille-Romance branch.

Androuvîny

Androuvîny (natively called Androuvinyse /ɑndruvɪniːs/) is a Romance language spoken in the Asteria region of the Lordship of Asteria and the Selnes, mainly in the cities of Androuvîn and Bay of the Wheat Horde; as well as the Plagian Tetrarchy. It is part of the Loquille-Romance branch of the Nezo-Romance family, however shares an evolution similar to that of the human Gallo-Romance languages. Despite being the most spoken language in the Lordship of Asteria and the Selenes, in the Selenes it has seldom use.
